Oukitel launches the WP21 Armored Phone with a 9,800mAh battery: All details

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, the Oukitel WP21. The newest rugged smartphone from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, the Oukitel WP21, has been launched. The new phone has a 9,800mAh battery that, according to the manufacturer, can power 12 hours of nonstop video playback and up to 1,150 hours of standby time on a single charge. The MediaTek Helio G99 chipset powers the Oukitel WP21. It has military-grade (MIL-STD-810G) ruggedness and has earned the IP68 and IP69K ratings for sweat, dust, and water resistance. Additionally, the Oukitel WP21 gets night vision cameras and a display on the rear.

The only 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option of the new Oukitel WP21 is presently priced at $299 on the e-commerce site AliExpress. It only comes in the color Black. On November 24, the tough phone will go sale.

The 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,460 pixel) displays of the dual SIM (Nano) Oukitel WP21 has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 396ppi pixel density. The phone also has a circular display on the back that shows alerts and serves as a viewfinder for selfies and video recordings. An octa-core 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and 12GB RAM power the smartphone. The extra, unused storage can be used to increase the RAM’s capacity to 17GB.

The Oukitel WP21 has three cameras on the back, with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 main sensor and an f/1.9 lens serving as the focal point. The camera unit also has a 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 lens and a 20-megapixel IMX350 low-light camera with an f/2.0 lens. The front of the phone has a 20-megapixel selfie camera for taking pictures and video calls. It also provides 256GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded with a microSD card slot (up to 512GB).

It Oukitel WP21 phone has 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, an 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, OTG, and a USB Type-C connector as connectivity options. For biometric authentication, the smartphone has a fingerprint sensor, and it also supports face unlock.

A new Oukitel smartphone has MIL-STD-810G-certified military-grade durability. It features IPX4 certification for resistance to sweat and splashes and IP69K certification for resistance to high pressure and heat.

Up to 1,150 hours of standby time, 68.5 hours of conversation time, 35 hours with music playback time, or 12 hours of video playback time are claimed to be possible. The Oukitel phone additionally allows reverse charging.
