Today saw the release of a Huawei Pocket S in China. This is a follow-up to last year’s P50 Pocket’s clamshell foldable phone. In comparison to the P50 Pocket, a most latest offering also has more basic specifications. The CPU of the two gadgets is the only distinction between the. Huawei has also unveiled the Watch GT Cyber smartphone alongside its Pocket S phone.
The Huawei Pocket S has a sizable 6.9-inch foldable Oled screen with a 2,790 x 1,188-pixel resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color. On the back panel, there is the 1.04-inch secondary cover display. A fingerprint scanner located on the side of the device is also included. The Pocket S is a foldable phone with a multi-dimensional linkage lifting waterdrop-style hinge that is a first for the industry.
It Huawei Pocket S includes a dual rear camera configuration in terms of images. It includes a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 40MP main sensor. A 10.7MP facing camera selfie camera is provided.
The Snapdragon 778G CPU is found inside the Huawei Pocket S. It has up to 512GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The flexible graphite heat removal system is a feature of the device. A 4,000mAh battery power the foldable phone and supports 40W charging. The Pocket S comes pre-installed with Harmony OS 3 software.
A Huawei Pocket S is priced at RMB 5,988 (or $822) for the 128GB model and RMB 6,488 ($890) for the 256GB model. The price of the 512GB model is RMB 7,488 ($1,028). The foldable phone is offered in the colors Ice Crystal Blue, Ice Silver, Mint Greens, Sakura Pink, and Obsidian Black. It is available for pre-order starting today, and sales start on November 10th.
