A report shows that the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India, will be released on June 18. PUBG Mobile was banned in the country in early September 2020. South Korean developer Krafton has not revealed a release date for Battlegrounds Mobile India, but it is being finalized.
The game can now be pre-registered for Android users in China through the Google Play store. However, the game’s user community is reported to believe that Battlegrounds Mobile India could launch on June 10. Krafton announced Battlegrounds Mobile India earlier this month and pre-registered for Android users on Tuesday (May 18).
Since the announcement, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release date and according to the support page of the official website, the latest developer update is a fixed date. Now, IGN India cites a report from industry sources that the game could launch on June 18, a month after pre-registration opens.
Although this appears to be a realistic release schedule, Krafton has not officially confirmed it. better not to take these messages as a gospel. The report also noted that the community believes that Battlegrounds Mobile India will launch on June 10.
BattlegroundsMobile India will be a free battle royale game, and its gameplay is basically the same as PUBG Mobile, but with some tweaks. Krafton said that Battlegrounds Mobile India will bring exclusive in-game features such as apparel and an esports ecosystem that includes competitions and leagues.
The developer teased one of the maps, Sanhok, and the game’s Google Play store page showed other maps as well. Interestingly, Battlegrounds Mobile India’s Google Play store URL has the text “PUBG Mobile”, which is believed to have in-store SEO value, although Krafton has yet to provide any clarification.
Battlegrounds Mobile India pre-registration is only available to Android users and will provide them with India-specific rewards, which can be earned when the game officially launches.
